We’re passionate about capturing and recirculating textile waste to prevent the flow of microplastic fibers into our waterways.

With our next-gen technology currently in pilot with a major home appliance manufacturer, we’re looking to expand our partnerships to further address the microplastics problem!

FAQs

We're here to help.

Will integrating Baleena’s solution require modifications to our existing washing machines or facility setup?

Not at all. Baleena’s filter integrates seamlessly into current washing machine designs without requiring plumbing changes or complicated installations. It can be easily attached via hooks in the drum’s drainage holes, making deployment straightforward for both retrofits and new models.

Will Baleena’s technology increase energy or water consumption?

No, our solution operates entirely within the washing machine’s existing water flow and uses centrifugal forces, so there’s no additional energy or water demand. This ensures operational efficiency without raising utility costs.

Beyond microplastic fibers, what additional contaminants can Baleena filter?

Our advanced filtration medium captures particles as small as 30 µm. In addition to microfibers, we’ve validated its ability to filter out other debris, such as pet hair (ranging from 25–160 µm).

What kind of support does Baleena provide during a pilot or rollout?

We offer end-to-end support, including installation guidance, performance testing, and regular updates to ensure seamless adoption. Our team works alongside your operations and sustainability teams to refine the solution for your specific needs.
